Are you feeling "Pushed"?

Hang onto your hats, people! We are heading into some eclipses right away that are bound to bring some sweeping changes into your life! On November 25, we will experience a New Moon in Sagittarius and a partial eclipse of the Sun which will be followed by a Full Moon/Lunar eclipse in Gemini on December 10. And then...just in time for Christmas, on December 24 we have a New Moon in Capricorn.

Eclipses have a tendency of bringing things to a head. Solar eclipses occur when the Sun and Moon occupy the same degree in the zodiac. Since the Sun is connected with the outer world, an eclipse of the Sun usually brings changes that are visible to you and those around you. A solar eclipse can bring a much needed development, sometimes revealing a challenge that needs to be overcome before you can create the next chapter. Eclipses are the Universe's way of pushing us out of our comfortable nests. The coming eclipse is in Sagittarius, who's ruler is Jupiter, sometimes known as the great benefactor, bringer of luck, but also known to cause expansion to the areas of life that aren't so great. Sagittarius teaches us to reach beyond what we know to be possible, gather our courage and shoot for the stars.

A partial Lunar eclipse occurs on December 10 with the Moon in Gemini and the Sun in Sagittarius, I wonder how many of us will be pushed to have that conversation we have been avoiding because of a slip of the tongue (ours or another) I wonder if any of us will be shocked or surprised by what others reveal to us, or what we let slip ourselves. Lunar eclipses bring realizations from the inside which can act as a catalyst to existing situations and relationships. A Lunar eclipse happens when the Sun and the Moon are in opposition, which results in pressure between what we "want' and what we "need". Rest assured that whatever comes up from your subconscious is intended to assist you in your personal evolution.

Now, with all that being said, eclipses don't always affect everyone so intensely and you may want to consult with an astrologer to check if and how it may affect your chart. I observe the New and Full Moons for ceremony, so I take into account the astrological positions of the Moon. When there is an eclipse, I focus on using the energy to facilitate the changes I want to initiate, rather than bracing myself for an energetic onslaught. I see it as throwing a message in a bottle into a tsunami.

Hawk

If you have seen a hawk, perhaps perched on high on a post or gliding in the air in its trademark circles, the Universe is telling you to pay attention to the signs and omens in your life. You see, Hawk is associated with Mercury, the messenger of the Gods.

Hawk teaches us how to get what we want by being in the right place at the same time. They don't waste a lot of energy swooping here and there. Instead, hawk watches and waits for the ideal time to strike. Rather than scrambling around looking for solutions, (but actually focusing more energy on the problem) center yourself, remind yourself of your desire and when opportunity presents itself...take action. When the time is right, and everything is lined up, things will fall into place.

Lets say you want a relationship. The answer may not be to sign up to 3 different dating sites and tell everyone you know that you are willing to be set up. The answer may be to focus on the type of relationship you want, invest your energy into your vision...and then go outside. Unknowingly, the love of your life may be standing right in front of you in the queue at Safeway, later...but you may not recognize that if you are checking your cell phone to see if anyone messaged you back yet.

Lets say you want a better job. The answer may not be to apply for everything that comes up and spend unlimited hours online and scouring the "help wanted" pages. Get focused on what you want to experience. How would you like to engage your talents?. If your intentions are clear, the Universe will draw opportunities towards you. Your job is to know when to act.

Back in 2005 I was considering backing out of a marathon I had signed up for. One morning, upon leaving for my morning run...I asked the Universe for a sign, a specific sign to guide me whether I should do the marathon or not. I said to myself "If I'm meant to do this, if its in my highest good, I will see a hawk on my run today." A little later I thought I did see a hawk, but it was off in the distance, so I couldn't be sure. I continued running, still arguing with myself in my head, when I noticed an RV parked close to the path. On the side of it, the words "Sea Hawk" stood out boldly in turquoise letters.

The Universe is funny, sometimes. Needless to say, I did the marathon.

If you are seeing Hawk, be watchful for other signs and omens...they may lead you to other possibilities. Enjoy the mystery of how it all falls together.

Bear

If a bear has crossed your path, it may be Spirit's way of telling you something.

Most bears are known to attack when their cubs are threatened, or when they are very hungry. On a symbolic level, this may be a message regarding how you feel towards your loved ones. Are you being overprotective? Or are you maybe unaware that they may require protection?

On another level, maybe those cubs represent your dreams, or a new venture. In that case, it is imperative to surround yourself with supportive people and guard your interests accordingly.

Are you hungry for something new? An exciting experience to take you away from all the humdrum mundane tasks and duties that make up your day? Not sure what you want? Now might be a good time for a retreat...hibernate for a little while. If you can't literally get away, meditate. Enter into the dreamlodge and allow yourself to imagine a life that would feel more vibrant. Place some physical, emotional or mental distance between yourself and others..."you" and your roles. If the right thing for you may greatly impact someone else...what will you do? The best approach may be to ask yourself "why?" Why do you want what you want? You just may discover that you don't really want what you thought you wanted. You just may believe its all you can have.

Jackrabbit / Hare

If a hare, or jackrabbit has made an appearance, he is telling you to listen closely to your instincts. There is a possibility that someone may be trying to pull one over on you! One of the key differences between rabbits and hares is that hares are born with fur and their eyes are open at (or very shortly thereafter) birth. This characteristic is synonymous with trusting what you see.

Jackrabbits are able to change direction on a dime, another characteristic that you may adopt in order to make optimal use of the opportunities that present themselves. Focus on your end goal and let go of the "how". If there is another way that will serve you better, it will present itself.

If you have seen a jackrabbit, the message is to trust what you see and feel. Plans may need to change or alter slightly, don't let that make you nervous...there is a master architect working behind the scenes to serve your greater desires. Don't settle for less and be prepared to negotiate.

Flat Tire

When is a flat tire a little more than just an inconvenience? When its a sign!

Tires are made of rubber and filled with air, they are the part of your vehicle that touches the ground. What you have then is a symbol of your belief systems and what reality you are anchored in.

A flat tire is a symbol that although you may have the right idea and be on the right track, your energy level might be too low to fully invest emotionally in the project. You are losing your enthusiasm, and its time to examine the reasons why you are not where you feel you should be.

If it is a slow leak, as in a nail hole or puncture, you have a person, situation, or another energy drain, a problem that robs you of your emotions and thoughts, creeping in when you are still. And for whatever reason, you may feel powerless to change this situation. The real problem is not the situation, the problem is in your belief system. If you are uncertain what your negative beLIEf may be, notice the judgements you hold against yourself or others. If you are envious of another, there is evidence in your emotional body that you have a block up in that area. This means that any effort to achieve what you envy will be inevitably sabotaged. So this is a good place to start!

If you have just remedied a flat tire, your ability to bounce back after adversity is going to prove valuable in the weeks to come.

A sudden flat tire is an urgent message from the Universe to not be too hasty in moving ahead with your plans. Get there emotionally first, have a clear vision and then and only then, move forward. If you are frustrated by your outer progress, or lack thereof, return to your vision. A vision has no fuel without emotion, so if you are not emotionally invested in the vision, it will...ahem...fall flat.

Shell

Shells have been collected on seashores since...well, since people strolled on seashores. Like a beautiful armour, shells once kept delicate creatures out of harms way. If you are seeing shells, the Universe may be asking you to reevaluate your boundaries. Have you put up a wall, trying to hide your truth or fears from others and yourself? Are you wearing a mask, pretending that everything is okay when you clearly aren't feeling okay at all? Not acknowledging a problem won't make it go away. Its time to position yourself to live the life you truly desire.

On the other hand, drowning yourself in a problem isn't solving it either. Maybe shells message is for you to identify with its armor. What are you willing to do to protect your interests and invest in your own fulfillment? You can be strong and beautiful, solid yet graceful. You are unique, don't be afraid to be yourself, even if it means people will laugh at you. After awhile, it won't matter.Trust me on that one.

Maybe the message of shell speaks to another part of you, reminding you that others may only see the confident, strong you. You can choose to identify with your weakness and vulnerability, or you can identify with your will, courage and strength. The choice is yours. Ideally, we have a balance of both. Strength and vulnerability make room for miracles and inspire readiness.

Carry a shell with you when you need to be strong, yet connected to your emotional truth. These are transforming times we are living in. Lets use this to elevate us!

Lone Shoe

If you spot a lone shoe, it may be a sign from the Universe worth paying attention to.

Shoes can represent the path we are following, and finding a lone shoe along your path is a sign that you may be contemplating a new path, but haven't completely committed to it. You may have "one foot in", so to speak.

A lone shoe could also represent a plan you once had that was abandoned or forgotten. Perhaps it's time to revisit and rekindle it. Or maybe its time to bury it for good.

For further insight, look to where you were going when you saw it, the major issue that was on your mind when you saw it, or...if applicable, the conversation you were having when you saw it.

The type of shoe could have significance as well. For example, a workboot could represent an opportunity with work or career...but if relationship is the major issue in your life, it could be an omen that the relationship needs a lot of "work" and full commitment on the part of both involved will be required.

It's not a good or bad omen, it is simply urging you to consider what you really want. Maybe your dream just needs a little revision. Get some perspective, decide and then commit yourself! Jump in with both feet!

Chipped Windshield

Are you driving a vehicle with a chipped windshield? This may be a message from the Universe, pointing out that your beliefs about life are not in sync with the life you truly want to create. A windshield is the window of our vehicle through which we see the road ahead. Like all windows, it symbolizes our perspective It symbolizes how we see our personal journey, and is affected by our beliefs about the world outside and our relationship to it.

A sudden chip indicates the arrival of an opportunity that will test a forgotten belief, one that needs to be brought into your awareness and adjusted. The smaller the chip, the less obvious and serious the belief is impeding you. However, if that chip starts to expand and the crack spreads...the situation could be getting more serious. For example...someone (with a chip in their windshield) may have a belief that its better to keep their opinions to themselves and this belief may cause them to keep opposing viewpoints from others. Perhaps they have learned this, when as a child, they were punished or laughed at for having a differing opinion. The holding in of their opinion may save them from having arguments or conflict with others externally, but it doesn't actually create peace. When their tendency to keep their truth inside will begin to create serious problems for them, that chip may suddenly become a crack.

A crack across the top of the windshield could represent feeling disconnected from Source, your spiritual connection with life and the benevolent help of the Creator. There could be a negative view about life, the feeling that the world is a difficult place and perhaps even that God has forgotten you. You may feel disconnected from your ability to visualize something better.

A crack across the middle of the windshield, that obstructs your view somewhat or cuts the view in front of you in half, indicates that your misplaced beliefs about yourself or life are probably obvious to you and most of the people in your life. You just may not be ready to change them yet. You might believe that doing what you need to do for yourself, you may be hurting or inconveniencing another. Since the inside and the outside are direct reflections of each other, examine the reasons why you haven't yet replaced the windshield. Your answer to that question might shed some light on what beliefs may be currently limiting your happiness right now.

A crack along the bottom of the windshield indicates that whatever beliefs are limiting you, they have been there most of your life and were probably inherited from family. They may seem less obvious to you because in your perspective, this is just the way that life is. How you view your potential may be limited without you even being aware of it. You may just be experiencing life as mediocre, but have no idea how to make it better, or even that it gets any better than this.

By fixing your windshield, you are putting into motion opportunities for the Universe to change your perspective through situations, people and events that will be drawn to you. Its up to you to choose to see things as you always have and do what you always do, or dare to think and act differently.

You can't mistake the song of a robin for any other birdsong. It is a melody synonymous with Spring, a time of renewal, and its song is a reminder that you have a song of your own. It is time to take creative control of your experience, so sit in the sun and set some goals!

Robin may be bringing you the message that its time to take control of your own life, and that means detaching from the drama and experiences of the lives of others.

Robins lay eggs of a distinctive turquoise color. Eggs represent the creation and incubation of an idea, opportunity, a new beginning. Unrealized potential. Turquoise is also a semi-precious stone with metaphysical qualities of its own, that I am also drawn to applying here.

Turquoise is sacred to both Native American and oriental traditions. It is associated with the sky, and bringing sky energy to earth, in other words bringing ideas to physical form. It is connected to the throat chakra, which assists with clear communication that is heart based. It attracts abundance and is known to possess healing qualities.

Clogged Pipe

A clogged pipe is a sign that there are blocked emotions affecting someone in the home or workplace. Usually, it is a shared or collective experience. The matter in question, which blocks the pipe may also have significance. For example: food clogging the drain could indicate that emotions are being stuffed down with foods. Hair clogging the drain could indicate that fear of appearing needy or foolish is stopping you from expressing your true feelings. Once I discovered the shower drain was clogged with little Lego guy legs! Which indicates that blocked emotions created the inability for me to move forward in a particular area of life.

If the water is frozen in the pipe, it indicates a stalemate in one's relationship with life, or with another. Instead of dealing with the pain of emotions, one chooses to become numb or shut them out, thereby blocking any opportunity for the situation to evolve. This will directly affect the flow of life and create imbalance in one area or another. Its also interesting to note that these types of clogs only happen in winter, which for many of us, brings out our inner darkness. When a clog caused by freezing thaws, the emotional storm is released by the individual. These things happen simultaneously. Not unlike Springtime, when we instinctively feel free to create something different. Eventually, the water in the pipe will thaw. The act of fixing the pipe so that it never freezes again actually depicts a willingness to change the way one handles emotions, whether the person is conscious of it or not. So get out that heat wrap tape and talk about your feelings!

A paperclip may seem like a very ordinary object, but when it is found alone in a pocket, the washing machine, or on the seat of your car it is an important message from Spirit through the language of symbols.

Look to where you found the paperclip to distinguish what the message may be about. For instance, if you find it on your person...like in a pocket, it will be connected with your image or persona. If you discover it in your bedroom, it will be connected with your intimate relationships with self and others. If you find it in your vehicle, it will be connected with your life's journey at large.
